We’ve got some incredible news that we’re bursting to share with you. Drumroll, please... Playtime PR is now officially a certified B Corporation™ (B Corp™)!

That's right, in our 10th anniversary year, we’ve joined the ranks of businesses that meet the highest standards of social and environmental impact. This milestone isn’t just a feather in our cap; it’s a massive leap forward in our commitment to making lives more playful while being a force for good in the world.

So, what does being a B Corp™ mean? Well, it’s not just a fancy title. The B Corp™ certification is a rigorous process, administered by the nonprofit B Lab, which measures a company’s social and environmental performance. To become a Certified B Corporation™, we had to undergo a thorough review of how our operations and business model impact our team, customers, communities, and the environment. We had to reach a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment to ensure we met the highest standards in performance, accountability, and transparency.

Our very own CEO, Lesley Singleton, put it perfectly: “At Playtime, we strongly believe that play can be a catalyst for positive change. Our mission, ‘Making lives more playful’, is more than just a slogan. It's a commitment extending from our work with our clients, to the very fabric of our company culture. It was only a matter of time before we started on the journey to become a Certified B Corp, as our model aligns with the mission of the B Corp movement so well. We’re committed to continuous improvement – the marker of all B Corps – to forge a path toward a more playful, inclusive, and sustainable future.”

We’re not just talking the talk, either. We’re dedicated to ‘playing nice’ when it comes to our social and environmental impact initiatives. For years, we’ve partnered with schools, libraries, and charities to make sure toys and games get into the hands of children and families in need. Since 2016, our schools’ campaigns have positively impacted the lives of more than 64,000 UK schoolchildren. In the last two years alone, we’ve saved 3.5 tonnes of toys and games from potentially ending up in landfill by repurposing surplus stock and ex-demo products through our charity partners.
