A BIG launch for a BIG new toy - Biggies!

Biggies is a brand new mega plush which is pumped up and explodes out of its packaging - it has to be seen to be believed. Playtime PR knew that to bring this exciting new launch to life we needed to have a BIG, colourful and fun party packed with celebrities, influencers, press and other stakeholder guests along with their children, kick starting the PR campaign with a pop!

The excitement started with the invitation which was a bespoke, eco-friendly, spherical, helium balloon designed to look like the Biggies faces! The balloons were delivered to 100 select celebrities, influencers and press, popping out of its box when opened along with a printed invite and which invitees captured and shared on social media. This started the Biggies hype early and helped to build a sense of anticipation.

In line with Biggies spherical shape and in order to enhance the playful message we hosted the launch at Ballie Ballerson in London. This was easily accessible for guests and has giant ball pools for the children to play in with their Biggies. It was bright, colourful and highly Instagrammable so we knew that it would add more theatre to the event and offer even more opportunities for influencers and press to share content from the party.

Spherical food was on offer (pizza, falafels, meatballs and branded doughnuts), along with bespoke Biggies mocktails which were packed with accessories and another Instagram hit. Biggies glitter tattoos were available along with special balloon models of each of the four Biggies characters with each attracting a queue of children.

The Biggies were the star of the show with a demo area packed full of the toys and a team of Playtimers pumping up and deflating them and a queue of children eager to help. The super huggable Biggies were taken all over the venue, in the ball pits, the branded photobooth and for photos against the branded photo wall.

We had a queue of guests outside waiting for the event to start at 11am and the majority of the attendees stayed until the event closed at 3pm.

Results

Biggies was launched big style into the UK!

175 guests including 12 celebrities, one mega influencer (Winning with the Wilsons) and 21 micro influencers along with key national and parenting journalists, industry stakeholders and their families.  176 social media and press hits with 12.1M reach were driven via the event and kick started an influencer gifting campaign which was given further traction from the coverage generated post event.
